Crock Pot Meals
My kitchen smells so good!
Ok, first things first. Those who know me know I will never have my own cooking show. I have spent the last 21 years raising kids, very active kids who kept me busy with baseball, soccer, softball, band, piano and lots of other things like dental and orthodontic appointments, visits to the doctor’s office and more than a few trips to the ER. When you live like that, who has time to cook?
Well, things have changed a bit. With two kids leaving the nest and most of all those activities in the past, I have re-discovered my love for my Crock Pot. I received the old blue one in the photo above almost 23 years ago as a wedding gift. I have actually used it a good bit over the years. As my family grew, I graduated to the much larger slow cooker on the right. Just this past Christmas, I received the one in the middle. It contains three removable 1.5 quart pots, a rack for lids and little grooves to hold your cooking/stirring utensils in place. You can set each pot to a different temperature. A busy person can cook an entire meal in one contraption! I am going to love using all three of these slow cookers.
Today, I started with two recipes, one beef and one chicken. If you love using your slow cookers to feed your busy family, here is a list of great recipes:
