Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. – Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 (NIV)
Isaiah 43:16 is a perfect verse to start a new year. Past experiences can haunt us. Memories of things gone wrong can make us feel defeated. Current consequences resulting from past mistakes can make us feel hopeless. Dwelling on past sins can make us feel unworthy of the forgiveness that Jesus offers.
